Recently I purchased a can of semi metallic grey paint for my 2013 Civic. I was about to fix 2 small dents, one on trunk and another one on rocker pannel. Paint had to be custom made, so boys went by VIN number and paint number that was located on drivers side door frame. It came out paint #923395. They checked three times and confirmed that is right paint number for my car. I brought paint to local garage who was working on dents, handed can and left home hoping I will come back in 48h to get my car. Well, I got call next morning from paint guy saying I bought wrong paint. It came out a lot darker. When I went to see damage, I almost got heart attack. It was night and day difference. My problem now became even bigger. Since I was the one who bought paint, body shop blaimed me and said they won't repaint job for free. Basically, came out I would have to pay twice for painting same dents. Frustrated from what happened, I went back to Bond Auto Parts, spoke with Trevor, manager, explained him what happened. He checked himself in a computer, to make sure I have right paint number and it came that is correct number. He agreed something went wrong in mixing process. He was more then willing to hand me new paint can, but I didn't have body shop who will re-paint job again for free. I asked if Bond Auto Parts are willing now to help me pay for re-painting everything. He had to talk about it with his district manager, cause they never had situation like this. Unfortunately for me, answer came negative. From what I understood Trevor, new owners who bought company last year said NO. If there were still old owners, O'Reilly, they would be willing to help since it really is their fault. Anyhow, I ended up re-painting whole job somewhere else and spent $$$ from my pocket cause of 'something went wrong in mixing process'.
Need parts. This is the place to go. Buy my parts there all the time.
I had a return on a part that failed prematurely. It was handled professionally and quickly, even though I walked through the door at 4:58.
Just to make sure one thing, boys at Bond Auto Parts are amazing, Trevor, their manager is also understandable and did everything he could to solve my problem. They did refund me my money, but damage that one can made to my car is 20times bigger then that can costed. This review goes to the new owners who doesn't stand behind their product. Yes, something can go wrong in mixing process. Yes, paint can come out different. But please new Bond Auto Parts owners, if you want to run business succesfully in 21st century, you need to understand ** Without us,customers, you won't have whom to sell your products. ** I hope this review helps to anyone who is looking to do painting job on their rides - if you are not ready for potentially re-painting whole job, save yourself time and money, do not buy paint here cause new Bond Auto Parts owners do not stand behind their product!
